Indigo Gabbro is a relatively new gem mined in Madagascar. In general Gabbro refers to the rock which forms when magma cools into crystalline formations. Much of the Earth’s oceanic crust is made of gabbro, formed at mid-ocean ridges.

Indigo Gabbro is made up of multiple minerals including feldspar, quartz, chlorite, muscovite and multiple other trace minerals forming a potent vibration which is different from all its individual parts.  It is somewhat nature’s design necklace.

What distinguishes Indigo Gabbro from other Gabbros is the unique color-from light indigo purple, indigo gray to violet set within black – but many people describe it as a black and white gem. It can be found with occasional spots of chatoyancy  (which we are calling “flash”) due to the feldspar in the gem combination.
